Fiona draws on her life as a rural midwife and shares her love of working with women, families and health professionals to write this vibrant and charming multigenerational story that celebrates the power of women working together and addresses the challenges faced by rural towns and the impact of the drought to the lack of medical resources.
Fiona is the author of non-fiction book Aussie Midwives, and lives on a farm with her husband in northern New South Wales. She was awarded the NSW Excellence in Midwifery Award in 2015, and the RWA''s Ruby Award for Contemporary Romantic Book of the Year Award in 2020 for The Desert Midwife.
