About the authors

Colin Hawkins

Colin Hawkins studied graphic design and illustration at art school and then went to work as an illustrator/designer for the Daily Express before moving on to magazine and advertising work. Jacqui Hawkins attended Goldsmiths College before going on to a design studio to work on exhibition and graphic design.

The husband and wife team began to create books together in 1979 and have gone on to produce a number of hugely popular picture books for children. They live in Ireland.
