About the author

Ani Jinba

Ani Jinba Paimo, born and educated in Holland, went to India to study Buddhism in 1969. She became a nun in the Tibetan tradition and studied language and Buddhist philosophy and practice until 1981, when she entered a three-year-long retreat. After her retreat, she studied with and translated for Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche until he died in 1991. She now spends her winters on retreat in Nepal and travels to translate for Tibetan teachers during the rest of the year.
