Juggling Lessons

A fourteen-year-old girl spends a sensational summer trying to reconcile the two sides of her personality - and her family.

For Nel, life at her mother's in Cornwall is infinitely more exciting than at her dad's in the Midlands. In Cornwall, Nel has learnt to juggle, fallen in love with a dashing Spanish acrobat and taken part in his daredevil circus act. When she has to return to the Midlands because her baby half-brother is ill, she does feel sorry for them but hates being useless, bored and fed up.
When she realises that she can manipulate the situation so that each parent thinks she's with the other, Nel seizes the chance to run off to Spain to find her boyfriend. But she soon realises, arriving alone in a foreign country without even her boyfriend's address is harder than even the trickiest circus act.
Can Nel regain her balance and learn to juggle all the aspects of her life?
