Jodie's life has revolved around kids and their books. Working in public libraries on the weekends when she was younger, she discovered her favourite kids' authors, and those that still inspire her. She studied teacher-librarianship at university and has been a practising teacher for almost 20 years, but writing has never been far from her thoughts – teaching during the day and writing at night. She has published articles, reviews and teacher resources both on an off the web. Jodie has been the President of the Sutherland Shire Branch of The Fellowship of Australian Writers, a committee member of the Illawarra Branch of the Children's Book Council of Australia and the founder and Coordinator of the Sutherland Shire Writers' Festival. She lives in Sydney's south.
