Heat: How We Can Stop the Planet Burning
Author: George Monbiot
Everyone's talking about climate change now. But do they really know what they're talking about? Luckily someone does. Here George Monbiot – riler of governments, scourge of big business and arch-enemy of climate change deniers everywhere – tells it like it really is.
For the first time Heat cuts through the waffle, excuses, fudged figures and PR greenwashing to show us who's been talking hot air about going green, and what the real solutions are (they don't involve wind turbines on No.10 or planting a tree every time we fly).
Instead, George takes us through what works, what doesn't and what the numbers actually mean to show how we can save the planet by putting pressure on the rich and powerful people who can really make a difference.
