Penguin Random House Australia celebrates 20th anniversary of Where is the Green Sheep? with special gold-foiled collector’s edition

To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Where is the Green Sheep, Penguin Random House Australia will publish a special gold-foiled collector’s edition, available in Australian stores from 30 April 2024.

First published in 2004, Where is the Green Sheep? has sold more than two-and-a-half million copies worldwide. Twenty years on, Mem Fox and Judy Horacek’s wildly wonderful search for the green sheep remains a beloved story-time favourite, delighting readers of all ages with its clever rhyme and charming illustrations.

Mem Fox says: ‘The sheep and I are wildly happy to be celebrating our twentieth birthday. Every single one of us would like to thank every single one of you for its stunning, long-running success.’

Judy Horacek says: ‘Happy Birthday to the Green Sheep, and all the other sheep in the book. I’m very proud of how you’ve made your way in the world and that you are loved by millions. Hip hip hooray!’

Lisa Riley, Publisher at Penguin Random House Australia adds: ‘Who doesn’t love this Australian classic picture book? Mem’s delightful interactive and suspenseful rhyming story together with Judy’s flock of adorable fun-loving sheep make Where is the Green Sheep? the perfect joyous book for sharing and creating treasured memories with little readers.’

Celebrations for the iconic green sheep will continue throughout 2024 with exciting new formats to come in the Where is the Green Sheep? publishing programme, including a limited edition Where is the Green Sheep?
