About

The State Library presents Danielle Celemajer in conversation with Mireille Juchau.

Philosopher Danielle Celemajer comes to the Library to talk about her new book Summertime: Reflections on a vanishing Future. A collection of stories written in the shadow of the 2019-20 Australian bushfires. In the midst of the death and grief of animals, humans, trees and ecologies Celemajer asks us to look around and become present to all beings who are living and dying through the loss of our shared home.

A different kind of nature writing for a different kind of landscape.

Prof Celemajer will be in conversation with novelist, essayist and critic, Mireille Juchau.
