About

Escape with master storyteller Fiona McIntosh

Sunshine Coast Council invites keen readers to join bestselling fiction author Fiona McIntosh at the Maroochy Rivers Golf Club on Tuesday, 13 November, from 10am.

Fiona is the author of thirty plus titles in fantasy, crime and children’s genres. Her books The Perfumer’s Secret, The Tea Gardens and The Lavender Keeper are bestsellers around the world.

Born in England, she spent her childhood in West Africa and now lives in Adelaide. After a career as a travel columnist and co-founding an award-winning travel magazine, Fiona travels the world for inspiration and writes full time.

The Pearl Thief will resonate with readers and fans alike, a confronting and heart-stopping story of a damaged woman hunting the man she holds responsible for her childhood trauma during World War II and whether love and hope can ever overpower the atrocities of war.

Fiona will explore themes of heartbreak, hope and survival with special guest Mix FM radio personality, Sami Muirhead.

This special literary event is part of a series of Sunshine Coast Libraries author talks hosted at various locations across the region.

Fiona’s book will be available for purchase at the venue. Tickets are $20 per person and bookings are a must via council’s library website. Enjoy live music by talented local artist Charly Bradshaw. Light refreshments are provided and coffee bar is available.
