Dr Penny Adams, graduated from the University of New South Wales in 1982 with first-class honours and the University Medal. She worked at Royal North Shore Hospital for several years before leaving to establish a General Practice in Mosman, where she has practiced for the last twenty years. She subsequently gained her Fellowship in General Practice, being awarded the Kent Hughes Medal for topping the nation in the exams. While the diversity of General Practice is its main attraction, Penny's special interests include women and children's health, adolescent medicine, sexual health and preventative health and screening. With a passion for health promotion, Penny is a frequent guest speaker for charities, and has made regular appearances on shows such as Beauty and the Beast, Mornings with Kerri-Anne and Good Health Television. She has a reputation, not only with her patients but also media audiences, for her caring nature and a lively sense of humor. Penny is married to Dr Ian Stevenson, an anesthetist, and has three children: Diana, a university student, and Tom and Olivia, who are at school.
