Very Little Cinderella

Formats & editions

Another very BIG adventure for a very little girl

Just like her pal, Red Riding Hood, Very Little Cinderella is little. Very little. But she's got a very BIG personality and one way or another she usually seems to bend others to her will. Albeit very charmingly.

Join Very Little Cinderella on her very important mission: to go to the party that her Ugly Sisters are off to and to wear the outfit of her choice – however crazy it may be!

With a Big Blue Scooter, an array of fabulous frocks and a Fairy Godmother for a babysitter what could go wrong? Find out in this fantastic fairytale twist.

About the Authors

Teresa Heapy

Teresa swapped the office desk for the kitchen table in 2009, having worked as a Commissioning Editor for Oxford University Press for several years and deciding that what she really wanted to do was write books. In her spare time, she does comedy improvisation and plays the ukulele. She lives in Oxford, England, with her husband and three children.

Praise for Very Little Cinderella

“Very Little Cinderella, with her “lello boots” and “BIG blue scooter” is truly adorable.”

“I love the concept of twisted fairy tales - children know all the traditional tales so well and the variations bring new life to them, making them appealing and contemporary. Very Little Cinderella speaks to us in a child's voice with a child's speech and young ones will really respond to this; it's cleverly and wittily done. A super contemporary take on the old favourite with plenty of humour.”

Books for Keeps

“This is the second title in this excellent series of fairy tales with a twist, putting a modern slant on the traditional tale...It's fun and quirky, and the hilarious pictures by Sue Heap work well with Teresa Heapy's text and the original page layouts. This title, which is enhanced by clever use of the end pages, is destined to become a firm family favourite in many households.”

“Those going through their own independent phases—and their caregivers—may enjoy this take on a favorite fairy tale.”
