The Border Vixen: Border Chronicles Book 5

Formats & editions

New York Times bestselling author Bertrice Small continues the sensual and romantic Border Chronicles, with 'a rollicking . . . heavy-breathing romp [that] reaffirms her standing as a historical romance stalwart.'*

The raging border wars have left Dugald Kerr, the laird of Brae Aisir, with one remaining heir: his beautiful, headstrong granddaughter, Maggie.  Aware of the covetous interest in his land, the laird announces that any man who can outrun, outride, and outfight the independent young firebrand will have her as a wife along with her inheritance.  His proposition causes more chaos than resolution, for feisty Maggie's reputation precedes her-until King James sends his cousin Fingal Stewart to compete.
The heated contest of wills between Fin and Maggie brings out the fire in the both-and inspires wrath in a jealous enemy who will stop at nothing to gain control of Maggie's inheritance.  Even if it means getting rid of Fingal Stewart and his border vixen.

PRAISE FOR THE BORDER CHRONICLES

'All the ingredients her fans have come to expect: a strong-willed heroine, a dangerously sexy hero, and intriguing historical setting, and lots of steamy sensuality.'

About the Author

Bertrice Small

Bertrice Small lives on the North Fork of the eastern end of Long Island, where she writes her novels in a light-filled studio surrounded by her cover paintings and many mementos of the romance genre. Married for thirty-three years to her husband, George, she is the mother of Thomas, a radio sportscaster and writer; mother-in-law of Megan; and grandmother of Chandler David and Cora Alexandra. Longtime readers will be happy to know that Nicky, the charming cockatiel, Checquers, the fat black-and-white cat with the pink ears, and Sebastian, the tiny greige-and-white cat, remain her dearest companions.
