About the Authors

Deborah Kelly

Deborah Kelly grew up in New Zealand and Australia but has also lived in Scotland and Japan. She studied Marine Biology at James Cook University in Queensland but has always been passionate about art, film, books and writing. She wrote her first series of picture books (which she still has) when she was seven. Deborah now writes stories for children of all ages as well as Haiku poetry which has been published in various forms. She lives with her husband and two children in New South Wales, Australia.

Karen Blair

Karen grew up in Perth, Western Australia. She loves to illustrate the joys and adventures of childhood. She lives in Fremantle with her husband and two children and works part-time as a primary-school art teacher. Her characters are often inspired her students and her own children.
Her award-winning books include Something Wonderful and Hello From Nowhere, by Raewyn Caisley; With Nan, by Tania Cox; Granny Grommet and Me by Dianne Wolfer; Me and You by Deborah Kelly; Baby Beats; and Baby Animal Farm.
