Dead Certain

Formats & editions

It has taken Amanda Crosby almost eighteen months to pull her life together after having been viciously attacked by a young
man she'd befriended. Having recovered from her physical injuries and determined to never again be a victim, the once shy and
gentle antiques dealer has become an outspoken advocate for self-defense, has resumed her training in martial arts, and is writing
a column for the local paper and lectures in high schools and to women's groups on self-preservation. Her new and hard-won
sense of self-assurance is severely tested when it becomes apparent that she is once again being stalked - and this time the pattern
perfectly mimics that of her attacker, who is in a prison eighty miles away. When her business partner is found murdered, Aman-
da finds herself on a short list of suspects. It is only after it becomes apparent that she is in fact again the object of a stalkers
attention - and the key witness in the original stalking case is found dead - that the new chief of police, Callum (Cal) Mercer,
realizes that someone is following a deadly agenda, and it looks as if Amanda will be the next target.
