Ever had to dance with a giantess in public? Twenty five funny, sad, frightening and exciting stories by an award-winning writer for young adults.

Ever had to be a pall bearer? Gone pig hunting with a desperate uncle? Had to dance with a giantess in public? Had the world's most boring job? Been ripped off by a little old lady?

These stories will take you places you'll never want to visit in real life — from the first dance to the first funeral and from the first job to the first sexual experience… well, okay, maybe not that last one. A great collection of the best of Taylor's numerous short stories from over 25 years' writing, they are funny, sad, dramatic and sometimes frightening, and written in a variety of narrative styles, making them ideal for classroom study.

A terrific collection from one of New Zealand's foremost writers for young adults.
