Chapter One
Pippa's Aunty Sophie was getting married, and everything had to be perfect for the wedding. In fact, it had to be more than just perfect – it had to be perfectly perfect.
In the big house where Pippa lived, people were very busy.
Bernie, the cook, was making a perfect dinner for one hundred people.
Dot, the dressmaker, was finishing the hem on the perfect wedding dress.
And Jed, the stable boy, was decorating the perfect bridal carriage with red and white ribbons. Jed would drive the carriage to the church. He was already wearing his beautiful white suit and matching top hat.
Pippa was dancing around the garden pretending to throw flower petals from a pretend basket. She was perfectly excited about the wedding.
Pippa was going to be Aunty Sophie's flowergirl.
Her flowergirl dress was white and went down to her toes. Fresh daisies had been picked for her hair. She had a basket full of red rose petals. She had spent all morning practising how to scatter them down the church aisle.
Pippa was going to be a perfect flowergirl.
