Walter Di Qual (Illustrator)
About
Formerly from Europe, Walter emigrated to Australia in the sixties. He started his artistic life in oils but his style has evolved and he sees himself as is primarily a diarist of the minutiae of life. He paints as a form of yoga and meditation to quieten the mind chatter and make peace with his thoughts and subconscious. There is no single narrow subject or style. Often he has no idea what the outcome will be and is as surprised as anyone else at what emerges.
