Adam Ramanauskas was the youngest member of Essen­don Football Club's 2000 premiership side; he was nineteen. Adam joined the dub as a No. 12 draft pick at the end of 1998. A graceful half-back, he played 134 games in ten years, retiring at the end of 2008 after three successful comebacks from can­cer treatment and a major knee injury. Adam married Belinda in 2006 and their son, Aidan, was born in 2008. Adam now works as a talent manager for the Elite Sports Properties man­agement company, coaches part-time at Essendon and delivers special comments for ABC Radio.

2012 Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIAs) - winners

The Australian Book Industry Awards were held in Sydney on Friday night. It was a great night for Penguin with our books taking the top honors in four book categories including the prestigious Book of the Year. Congratulations also to Peg McColl, Kate McCormack and the rights team who won the International (Rights) Award for the second year running for Paul French's book Midnight in Peking. United Book Distributors were again named Distributor of the Year.
