Guillaume Brahimi

French-born Guillaume Brahimi is one of Australia's most popular and acclaimed chefs. He trained under Michelin-starred chef Joel Robuchon in Paris before moving to Sydney in 1990. His celebrated, award-winning restaurant, Guillaume at Bennelong, is situated in the southern shell of the iconic Sydney Opera House. His second restaurant, Bistro Guillaume, opened in Melbourne's Crown Entertainment Complex in 2008.

Guillaume is a board member for The Chris O'Brien Lifehouse at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and The Bestest Foundation. 

He lives in Sydney with his wife and three daughters.

2012 Australian Book Industry Awards (ABIAs) - winners

The Australian Book Industry Awards were held in Sydney on Friday night. It was a great night for Penguin with our books taking the top honors in four book categories including the prestigious Book of the Year. Congratulations also to Peg McColl, Kate McCormack and the rights team who won the International (Rights) Award for the second year running for Paul French's book Midnight in Peking. United Book Distributors were again named Distributor of the Year.
