Kathy Buchanan
Kathy Buchanan has written for leading magazines and newspapers in Australia and the United Kingdom, including Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Empire, Cosmopolitan, Filmink, the Sunday Telegraph, the Sun-Herald and the UK Mirror. She began her writing career working on Esquire magazine in London. She is the author of Happy Endings: The Ultimate Movie and Book Guide for Women (Penguin, 2005), Charm School: The Modern Girl's Complete Handbook of Etiquette (Penguin, 2003) and Quit for Chicks (Penguin, 2003). Kathy has taught writing at Bond University, and has appeared on popular radio and TV shows. She lives in Sydney.

Young novelist Majok Tulba announced as winner of 2014 Kathleen Mitchell Award
Sudanese-Australian writer goes back to his roots to deliver a dark and moving story 17 September 2014 Majok Tulba has been announced as the 2014 winner of the Kathleen Mitchell Award for young novelists.Sudanese-Australian writer Mr Tulba was presented with the award for his debut novel, Beneath the Darkening Sky, by The Trust Company, part of Perpetual, as trustee of the award.
